For the week of 1.16-1.22
Here are a few of the top trending songs/sounds on Instagram at the moment. When you make reels this week, these are trending up so now’s the time to use the sound. Then, keep reading for a tip of the week you can implement right away on Instagram.
Top Trending Songs/Sounds
- I’ve Been Drinking Coffee by @soph_tran: This is a great sound to use since we pretty much all live on caffeine and tend to document our coffee breaks/dates. I think this would be great for talking about your meetings with clients or on a busy day, you can have a text box that says: “when a friend asks how you’re going to get through a closing, an appraisal, a listing appt., and an inspection….” then the sound just repeats saying, “I’ve been drinking coffee” over and over again. Pretty much sums up how we tend to get through the crazy days!
- example to check out: @helloquadruplets shows how she deals with 5 kids (including quads 🤯).
- Original Audio by @akprzy: This is just a stream of consciousness from someone with A LOT on their plate. I think we can all relate…so the narrator is just starting sentences and ideas but never finishing a full thought. A lot of people are using this sound for ADD/ADHD but I think it’s safe to say that business owners/parents/people who multi-task can use this for anything we do on a daily basis. A couple of ideas I’ve had are “when I lay down for bed every night” or “as soon as I’m in my car and not on the phone” or “when I zone out while checking emails”. Any of these would be perfect and can be used to talk real estate or personal life.
- example to check out: @oliviazapo uses this sound in the simplest form. She just sits down to take a break and relax and then these thoughts pop in her mind. Perfectly done and an easy reel to make!
- Original Audio by @breelenehan: This audio sounds like it’s from an old movie where a woman says “goodbye!” and then a man asks, “when will I see you again?” and the woman says “Oh, never, never” and they have this little banter about maybe someday and maybe tomorrow. I would keep it simple and use it if you’ve changed careers to real estate and you could have a text box that says, “when someone asks me when I’m coming back to work a 9-5” or if you want a little snark you could have a text box that says, “when someone asks when I’m going back to the ‘Traditional Broker Model’ and leaving eXp”. Both would be easy and you don’t have to name any names of previous jobs!
- example to check out: @lexandlistings is a Dallas REALTOR who is “telling” clients who are waiting for the market to crash that she’ll never see them again. Another creative way to take this trend for real estate!
Tip of the Week
Stay on brand. Seriously. This is major on Instagram because when people see one of your posts, you want them to know it’s you. A consistent brand image that you portray throughout your feed, reels, and stories helps people become familiar with you and recognize your style before they even see your name. I’ve really leaned in to light and airy photos, professional photography, a white/neutral color palette, and my content pillars (these are things that help people get to know me better: working mom, real estate, REALTOR tips, home decor, etc.).
However you brand yourself, make sure it’s consistent and that your social media reflects that. We’re trying to be at the top of mind for our clients so sharing valuable information with your personal spin is the way to go!
