For the week of 1.30-2.5
Here are a few of the top trending songs/sounds on Instagram at the moment. When you make reels this week, these are trending up so now’s the time to use the sound. Then, keep reading for a tip of the week you can implement right away on Instagram.
Top Trending Songs/Sounds
- Original audio by @jklnofficial: “I don’t even get disappointed anymore…” This is such a great audio for the current RE market. If you’re great at lip syncing, this is a good one, but if not, just use a text box and roll your eyes. It would go really well with a text box that says “my buyers after their 15th offer gets rejected” or “me, pulling up to a showing appointment behind 10 other cars” or “my clients when I tell them they need to be willing to go at least 20k over list price to be considered for this home.” Any of these would work easily but you can also do something more personal and make it about you instead of the job.
- example to check out: @katie_shea13 uses this to talk about failing in business with good info in the caption. Her reel has 31.5k views and she has fewer than 8k followers. Also, this audio is trending upward with a little less than 4k reels.
- Public Service Announcement by Jay-Z: This audio is the intro to this song and Jay Z says, “Allow me to re-introduce myself…” so people have been using this to share who they are and what they do. It’s an easy way to introduce yourself to your audience, type in a text box what do you, what areas you serve, what you specialize in (buyers, sellers, luxury, construction, etc), and then whatever else you want your audience to know. This one is a no-brainer, especially if you’re just starting to brand yourself as a new agent or for the new year.
- example to check out: @caseytaylorstylist who uses it to explain what she does and how she uses Instagram to do it. It’s cute, specific to her niche, and there aren’t any complicated transitions.
- Thing of Beauty by @dangertwinsband: This is practically made for a home tour or home renovation. It’s a cool, trending song with a nice beat drop in the beginning so you can do a transition if you want to. Otherwise, it’s just a good song to show off a property.
- example to check out: @simplymodernliving uses this song to give a little tour of her basement. It’s well done, no need for any crazy transitions and just an easy way to share something with a good, trending sound.
Tip of the week
I’m sharing an Instagram/Business tip this week because it’s so important for your branding to be consistent, online and in print. The easiest way to do this is to use Canva to its full capabilities. For my team, it’s totally worth the “pro” pricing because we can keep our brand kit (fonts, colors, themes, logos) together (which makes whipping up graphics a piece of cake). Plus, their free templates are so customizable you can make them your own and no one will even know you’re using a pre-made template.
I swear this is not an ad and I’m not trying to sell it–the free version is great and super useful, you just get fewer templates, designs, and you don’t get the brand section. If you’re starting to share more branded content, make new business cards, flyers, share more consistent images on IG, this is the easiest way to do it.
Also, if you’re not super familiar with the app, there are TONS of tutorials on YouTube, Pinterest, and Instagram. My team uses it (literally) every day and we love it.
