For the week of 2.20-2.26
Here are a few of the top trending songs/sounds on Instagram at the moment. When you make reels this week, these are trending up so now’s the time to use the sound. Then, keep reading for a tip of the week you can implement right away on Instagram.
Top Trending Songs/Sounds
- Two Weeks by @grizzlybear: This is just a song that you can put over anything. I like the idea of a home tour or of a coming soon. Also, you could use this for something personal with footage from a trip or work retreat. It’s one of the versatile sounds that can really be used for whatever you want.
- example to check out: @ahoneyknits (21k followers and this reel got 185k views) uses the sound to show something that’s she’s making and then the final product. This is just an easy way to share what you do or something you enjoy.
- “So I’m addicted to this” by @reneeroaming: This is a great sound to show anything you love. Coffee, wine, homes, getting an offer accepted, putting out your “Under Contract” rider, your pets, your significant other, the possibilities are endless.
- example to check out: @deck.to.farm.charm shows how they’ve become addicted to flipping…DOLLHOUSES! Who knew that was a thing? Pretty cute, though!
- “Angeklagt” by @jul.chens.welt: This sound is a camera and then someone giving directions about how to stand for a mug shot. This is just starting to take off with under 2k reels with this audio so get on it! Most of the ones I’ve seen are moms with toddlers. For real estate, I would use it to either make fun of myself or show off a stat or two. So you could do a text box that says you forgot to charge your phone or laptop and your device died the day a listing hit the market. You could also brag a little and say “Guilty of getting an average of 106% of list price when the average in the area is 102%. This one would be a quick turnaround because there’s no lip syncing, just you turning when the person says turn and holding up a blank piece of paper to have a place for your text box.
- example to check out: @glamorousaging uses this sound to jokingly shame herself for eating all the Valentine’s candy, by herself. It’s a cute way to be silly!
Tip of the Week
It’s not the number of followers you have, it’s the number of ENGAGED followers you have. Make sure that the people who follow you find value in your content. If you have 50 followers and 30 people consistently like your posts, you’re killing it! When your followers engage, IG then pushes that post to more people. Inevitably, more people will see it.
So, if you’re trying to grow on social (aren’t we all?) also, remember to continue serving the people who are with you now! Keep people coming back for more. And remember to engage with people you follow, that’s the whole point of social media. Be social, authentic, and share value. I promise that’s the main formula for an engaged audience.
