Trending on Instagram

Here are a few of the top trending songs/sounds on Instagram at the moment. If you have time to make reels this week, these are a few that are trending up so now’s the time to use the sound. Then, keep reading for a tip of the week you can implement right away on Instagram.

Trending Songs/Sounds

• The Assignment by taymoneyduh–This one is trending on TikTok, as well and has over 6,200 reels on IG. This would be perfect if you’ve got a home that sold over list price or you’ve helped a buyer find their dream home.

• Mama Said by lukasgraham–Use this to show someone who’s inspired you to think outside the box. Example: “You don’t need a degree in design to be a designer” typed on the screen and then show a picture of Joanna Gaines when he sings “Mama said that it was ok”.
  • Example from @interiordesigndropout on Instagram
• Original Audio by @anointed.la–“If I could have a moment of your time…that’s it thank you!”–Perfect to talk about something that you think is really important to share. Could be about buying, selling, using an agent, anything related to real estate.
  • Example to check out: @kaleysmileyhair
  • This (and other sounds) aren’t easily searchable on the app like songs are. My suggestion is to search the user (in this case it’s @anointed.la, find their most viewed reel, and listen to it. If that’s the correct audio, you can save it and then it’s easy to use on your reel.)

Tip of the week

I know we’ve all had the struggle of where to put hashtags and who to listen to when you’re trying to figure it out. Well, Instagram released a blog on 8.25.21 that says:

“For a post to be found in ‘Search’ put keywords and hashtags in the caption, not the comments.”

This is pretty straightforward and I know, aesthetically, it may not be the answer you’re looking for. However, if we want to get found, make sure you’re fully optimizing your caption for search. Make sure you use keywords that buyers, sellers, or REALTORS® (depending on your post) would search for and the same goes for hashtags!
