For the week of 2.6-2.12
Here are a few of the top trending songs/sounds on Instagram at the moment. When you make reels this week, these are trending up so now’s the time to use the sound. Then, keep reading for a tip of the week you can implement right away on Instagram.
Top Trending Songs/Sounds
- Original Audio by @altego_music : This is a mashup of ET by Katy Perry and All the Things She Said by tATu. It would be easy to use for anything but I feel like a home tour would be perfect. You could use the switch from Katy Perry to tATu’s song as a perfect transition to go from a basic part of the home to a gorgeous living space, primary bedroom, beautiful kitchen, etc. I could also be a great audio for a home renovation/before and after reel (using still shots to the beat). It’s really versatile and, truthfully, a good jam š *NOTE* This is a newer trending sound with fewer than 3k reels so I would use it ASAP to see if you can gain some traction.
- example to check out: @alinazbv uses the sound to show off pretty east coast lighthouses. She uses the transition to start showing images of each one and it’s really well done.
- Original Audio by @lexhuntr: The original reel for this one is hilarious, it’s a line from Take A Bow by Rihanna (“you look so dumb right now…”) and it is such a great sound to use for something self-deprecating or something you’ve said or done as an agent that just really sticks with you and gives you that feeling of mortification whenever you think about it. I would type a text box saying “that time I ran into the shower door at a showing” or “trying to open a door to a showing” or “when I try to go to an ibuyer’s listing and can’t get in.” You don’t have to be physically doing what you’re talking about, you can just sit there looking embarrassed or shaking your head. These are just funny and a way to show that you don’t take yourself too seriously. *NOTE* Fewer than 7k reels with this audio so it’s still on the upswing!
- example to check out: @giancarlo__torres with the thing we’ve all done…looking for our phone while we’re using it š. He has 11k followers and this reel has 864k views.
- Original Audio by @officialshannypants: “The CDC is now recommending apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur.” This is great to use for anything where you’re giving a recommendation. When the audio says, “apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur” you can put text that says, “stop renting, go get a pre-approval letter from a lender, and call me!” or anything to that effect. If you’re trying to market to a seller you could have text that says, “call me for a listing appt, start to declutter, and get that house on the market!” Anything where you’re giving tips to your clients would be great here. *NOTE* This is a newer trending sound with fewer than 2k reels so I would use it ASAP to see if you can gain some traction
- example to check out: @lauraelizabethphotos uses this to say that you need photo and video services at your wedding. This reel didn’t go viral or anything but it’s a great way to show how it can be used in a business sense.
Tip of the Week
We are planning to use this tip soon, if thereās a holiday or event coming up, ask the audience! Outsource and ask questions so people who are local to you can have some input. For Motherās Day, ask where your followers like to celebrate, brunch, buy flowers, where do they like to shop, what gift ideas do they have? Same for Fatherās day, kids’ birthdays, etc.
Next step for some extra engagement/visibility is to share responses and tag local businesses. This will get people engaged AND will allow you shout out some businesses that may then share your stories. That equals more eyes on your account!Ā
You and your followers get ideas + local businesses can get free advertisement. It’s a win-win!
