For the week of 2.13-2.19
Here are a few of the top trending songs/sounds on Instagram at the moment. When you make reels this week, these are trending up so now’s the time to use the sound. Then, keep reading for a tip of the week you can implement right away on Instagram.
Top Trending Songs/Sounds
- Original Audio by @slope.pope: This is a perfect audio for showing something pretty or impressive. One of our Modern Agents used it for a retreat she went to. You could put the audio over a home tour, your home decor, or vacation footage. It’s just a really good “vibe-y” that you can throw over any video. This sound has fewer than 8k videos so I’d use it pretty soon!
- example to check out: @beigewhitegray uses this to show off candles she uses in her home. She also does a really good job with transitions within the song so if you’re into making your video flow with the audio, that’s a good option.
- I think you should treat yourself by @lukefranchina: This would be funny for you to use to say how buying a house or listing with you is a treat. You can show your value by showing what you offer when someone lists their home with you. You could also use it to talk about buying instead of renting. Finally, you could use it for something personal, single on Valentine’s Day? Show off what you bought yourself and how you treated yourself!
- example to check out: @realtyonegroupinnovation uses this in a talking to camera reel about buying instead of renting. It’s gotten almost 36k view and she has 2,100 followers.
- Original Audio by @epitomeofclassy: A funny audio that’s just the cartoon sound of blinking in disbelief. The original reel is pretty hilarious and there are so many ways you can use this for real estate. All you have to do is blink in sync and then have text explaining why you’re in shock. Some thoughts I have for real estate: “When someone says they’re waiting for the market to crash” or “when a seller insists on listing For Sale by Owner” or “When someone tells you they love renting and never want to buy”. I think this would be the easiest of the three to have a quick turnaround and use asap. Also, this audio has fewer than 3k reels so jump on board now and see if you can get some traction.
- example to check out: @tori.brownfield uses this to show how her kids act so great when their dad gets home while being terrible for her!
Tip of the Week
Trouble coming up with content for your Instagram? There are a few tools you can use to help you come up with ideas.
- There are lots of paid sites that you can use for content creation, so that’s an easy one where content is created for you. You can personalize it and make it your own, my main concern with these is if someone follows more than one realtor, I always wonder how many times they are seeing that same content over and over again. Just something to keep in mind when personalizing the content, make sure you use your voice and make it yours as much as possible!
- Use Google Trends. Search “real estate” or “realtor” and you can see what people are searching for, how much that search term has gained interest over time…p.s. The search term “Realtor” has risen steadily, so it might be a good time to show what you can offer as a realtor and let people know what sets you apart and what value you offer as a realtor.
- Use Pinterest and search for content ideas. You can be as specific or vague as you like to find ideas for engagement, questions to ask, realtor specific questions, etc. Pinterest is a great search site for drumming up ideas.
- Finally, follow creators that you like. If someone’s content draws you in (realtor or not) follow them. See what they do that engages you. There is nothing wrong with using another account that you admire as inspiration.
- I do suggest that you follow @creators (instagram’s community of creators), @mosseri (head of Instagram), @reelstips (great tips and ideas for reels), and @latermedia (social media marketing platform–they share great tips and ideas on their blog).
