For the week of 10.10-10.16
Here are a few of the top trending songs/sounds on Instagram at the moment. When you make reels this week, these are trending up so now’s the time to use the sound. Then, keep reading for a tip of the week you can implement right away on Instagram.
Trending Songs/Sounds
- Original Audio by @kismet_house – This is a simple concept where you show yourself doing something that you’re good at or explaining something important. I’m going to share a couple of examples for this one to show how it can be used for anything. My thoughts are for a home tour, putting up a “Sold” or “Under Contract” sign, telling people to NOT use a big bank for their lender, etc.
- IFHY by Tyler, the Creator (feat. Pharrell) – You’ll want to use the part of this song like the example I’m sharing that just goes “I’m in love”. Again, this is really versatile. It could be for your home, something you’re loving right now (makeup, coffee, pumpkin everything), a home tour, a closing gift, truly, anything!
- example to check out: @bodyandboho. She’s a jewelry maker and is showing how she makes some earrings. Simple, pretty, and she got amazing reach on this reel. With almost 3,700 followers, that reel got 1.8M views.
- NOTE: This is a song, so there isn’t an original reel, you can save the sound from the post I shared above.
- Original Audio by @victoriacasalino – The audio for this “la la la la la, shhhhh, just living my life” can be used for anything. Some of my favorites that keep popping up are people putting out really over-the-top Halloween decor, showing their Starbucks cup and Target bags. Most of these have text on the screen like, “when people ask how I drink Starbucks every day” and then they lip sync the “living my life” part. This could be a perfect reel for people to get to know you and what you do or things you like.
- example to check out: @theturtletrunk who makes crochet goods and loves coffee. She has 32.9k followers and this reel got 146k views.
Tip of the Week
Here’s a quick engagement tip. Always have a call to action in your caption. It could be as simple as “double tap if you like…” or “raise your hand if…”. Questions are always good, too. Anything where people are prompted to respond or engage with your content will always draw people in. You can also tell people to ask you questions in the caption so they’ll engage, but if you do that just make sure that you’re in there responding to every question!
