Trending Songs/Sounds
- Owen Wilson says Wow by @raisedbyowls: Literally just Owen Wilson saying “wow” with a lot of different intonations and emphasis. This is perfect for a really pretty home you’re showing, you can just take photos and then pop them in so it lines up with all his “Wows”. You could also do a year in review with each of your closings, showing a photo of you with your clients or sold signs in the yard of each of the homes you’ve listed and sold. Anything someone would be proud of and say wow, A LOT. This one’s picking up steam, so if you have photos from a recent listing, I say go for it!
- example to check out: @homeatpinelake uses the sound to show how much she loves coming home to a clean house. It’s easy, just photos, and it’s gotten over 60k views while she has 20k followers!
- Original Audio by @netmums: “Is it me, am I the drama? I don’t think I am…”. This is one of my favs, mostly because of all the cute babies, however, it can be used for anything that’s frustrating with listing or buying a home. You could video yourself looking at a stack of papers with “APPRAISAL” written on it, you could show a drippy faucet with text saying, “final walk through probs” (doesn’t need to be an actual listing), if you’re comfortable with transitions/being 2 people–you could do a chat with the “inspector” (you in a hat with a fake mustache) and you could mimic talking while the “inspector” is lip-syncing, “Is it me? Am I the problem…”. There are a lot of possibilities for this sound! You could also go personal and use your pets or kids with text about getting into something they weren’t supposed to 😉.
- example to check out: @christy_naranjo has a cute baby post with text that says “when mom starts yelling at dad because she’s sleep deprived” and the baby is just smiling and being adorable.
- Housewife’s Prayer by @pistolannies: The way people are using this one makes me laugh! Found a spider? Set the house on fire! Kids making a mess, house on fire! Decorating for Christmas, light it up. So funny and an easy one to use. I think it would be funny to use for anything about your home. If you find your significant other’s socks laying around, take a slow zoom and then show your face (lip syncing or not). Just a funny, light one that would do really well!
- example to check out: @addiwolnski shows a gift someone got her kids–a ball pit, with 1000 plastic balls. Hilarious.
Tip of the Week
Optimize your bio! This is the most valuable space on your Instagram, it’s always there and you want to make sure that it stands out, it’s informative, and hooks your audience. It should be like a billboard. As a REALTOR®, your first line should have your name, REALTOR®, and the areas you serve. The rest of your bio should show a little of your personality and have some information to draw in your ideal client.
In search, Instagram prioritizes your bio along with your handle, so make sure that you’re sharing something that your ideal client would be interested in. If you’re a mom, dog/cat mom, wine lover, foodie, love camping, or hiking…whatever it is, make sure to spell it out so you’re attracting the audience you want just by having a well-written bio!
