For the week of 11.7-11.14
Here are a few of the top trending songs/sounds on Instagram at the moment. When you make reels this week, these are trending up so now’s the time to use the sound. Then, keep reading for a tip of the week you can implement right away on Instagram.
Trending Songs/Sounds
- Immediately No by @rosiethecream: This one is funny and I’ve seen it used in a lot of ways. I shared how the original sound is used, starting a dog on a diet! But it can be used with anything that you think is a bad idea for something real estate related. The one that I’m sharing below says, “when a buyer wants to see homes without being pre-approved” and I love it. @TheBrokeAgent always talks about bringing “Dad” to the inspection, so it would be really easy for that. Or something personal, “my partner wants to start a budget for my Starbucks habit.” This could be used for any of your content pillars to get a laugh.
- Will Smith by @jessagarrett: This is just Will Smith saying, “I saw that going differently in my mind.” Would be perfect for just a simple text on screen when a deal falls through or when a home doesn’t appraise. I don’t even think it needs to be specific to something that’s going on. Maybe use it and then have a caption about how you would deal with one of these issues. Again, this isn’t try to call any one transaction out, just to show that things don’t always go as planned (especially in real estate) plus you can explain how you would help a client make it better or how you stand out from another agent in trying to fix the issue, if it’s fixable. It could also be used to show something amazing–like how I’ve been using social media for my business and someone popped into my DMs and told me they were looking for a home in the 1.2M range.
- example to check out: @sosarahanne, a realtor explaining a little about a deal that didn’t go through + why the sellers weren’t very wise about it!
- Original Audio by @rzr_corridos: This sound has trended before, but it’s back and it’s a great way to show off something. The original video is about an off-road vehicle. I like it when people use it to show a “glow-up”, view a home, or to teach something. You can use photos with the beat or if you’re explaining or teaching, your main points can pop up to the beat.
- example to check out: @dclark_builder is sharing a custom home using photos.
Tip of the Week
Utilize your highlights. These are at the top of your feed and live there until you decide to remove them. You can share something on stories and then save it to a highlight. This is where all of my real estate content lives so that it doesn’t fill up my grid. I also share tips, tricks, agent highlights, market updates, about me, etc. It’s an easy way to keep content that may not match your aesthetic but it can stay live on your page for as long as you like. Plus, it’s much easier for people to find information about you or your business when you use the highlights and keep them up-to-date.
