• Original Audio by @fitfashionfile: This is a Mariah Carey sound; leading up to the high note in Emotions. Then there’s a slap, and a giggle. I’ve seen this mostly for people slapping away something that’s not true or a common misconception. It would be an easy “lip-sync-free” way to dispel a myth or rumor regarding real estate.
  • example to check out: @marinaanayaphotography, a photographer who uses the “smack” away text about wearing matching buffalo plaid for family photos. It’s cute and she makes her point, also–this reel of hers got 140k views and she has fewer than 6k followers!
• Original Audio by @beccabristow: A quote from Michael Scott of The Office where he says, “I don’t hate it, I just don’t like it at all, and it’s terrible.” I’ve seen this one trending and I couldn’t think of a way to make it work without it feeling like it was too negative. But, I saw a few this week that I like and had some real estate ideas. If you’re flipping a house and find something that’s problematic while doing repairs or you can talk about the packing and moving process with a caption explaining how you can help out with that. I think this is perfect for personal reels too. You can use this for one of your content pillars, like home design (your husband complaining about putting up Christmas before Halloween) or cooking/baking (when your grocery pickup order substitutes something that is not what you need) or shopping for Christmas decor before Thanksgiving and stores already being sold out…there are a lot of different ways to go with this one!
  • example to check out: @abanach11 used this to show her frustration with buying a house + fixing it up before she and her partner get married. The caption explains why it’s a good idea, just why she doesn’t love it! Also, this got 3 million views and she has 11k followers!
• That You by @ckgckgckgckg: This is just a song, but it’s in the sweet spot of trending with fewer that 3000 reels. Now’s the time to use this one. It can be used with anything like showing a home, showing off decor, a local shop/boutique you love. Seriously, this one could be easy if you hop on it quickly. I would probably throw photos of a new listing into reels and let them shuffle with this music playing.

Tip of the Week

Remember that this is a holiday week and everyone’s engagement is going to be down so don’t get too bummed out if you’re not seeing the numbers you normally do. Keep churning out really good and informative content (feed, stories, reels) and all of that content will still be there when people log back on.
